Cognos 10 Report Studio - Rotate x-axis labels (legacy charts)

I made a report with a couple of charts in it, but the x-axis labels of the chart puzzled me. At first I couldn't find where I can modify the x-axis labels to be in a 90 degrees angle in all of those charts. Some of the charts had labels rotated 45 degrees, some 90 degrees and some of the labels were just horizontal. Now that I have solved it I want to share it :) . I add terms used in Finnish language Report Studio 'cause I think those translations used in it are often strange.

[ 1 ] Click category axis / luokan akseli in the chart
[ 2 ] In the properties list under General / Yleinen modify Label control / Nimen ohjausobjekti property from Default / Oletus àAutomatic / Automaattinen

Voilà! All the rotation properties are shown and you are able to set label rotation, eg. allow 90 degrees rotation.

NOTE: this applies to legacy charts.

    Hey! Are you sure this label control property is there in Cognos 10. It's there in Cognos 8.4, but I don't find it in Cognos 10 report studio charts.

    Yes, I'm sure that it's at least in versions 10.1. and 10.1.1.

    I think you are using the legacy charts. This property is there in legacy charts of cognos 10, but the new added charts in cognos 10 don't have this property.
    By default we see legacy charts (like in cognos 8) in cognos 10, only when you uncheck the 'Use legacy chart authoring' in Tools>Options>Advanced,the new Cognos 10 charts appear. Check out plz. Thanks.

    I had the oblique Labels (45 degrees) too and it was bothering me. So I found this checkbox "Auto font size" under the Axis Labels properties. When I checked it the Labels were automatically set to horizontal.

    Is there also a way to show the x-axis vertically, even though the number of characters would easily fit horizontally? I am still finding a way to do this...
